Frank Lampard, the former England and Chelsea midfielder, who spent 13 years at Stamford Bridge, has disclosed his plans to return.
The player spent 13 years with Chelsea and remains the all-time leading goalscorer. And he has admitted he wants to go into Chelsea’s management once his playing days are over.
Lampard now plays for New York City FC but shows no sign of slowing down, having scored 12 times this season.
He continued:
“As soon as I finish playing I’d like to take it up and maybe be a manager. It’s hard because I only want the Chelsea job. As a Chelsea man or not, the job is one of the pinnacles of football, they are one of the top clubs in the world now. And I’m a Chelsea man.”
Lampard concluded:
“It might be a different route for me and might take a while but the dream would be to manage Chelsea one day. If I was good enough, if they wanted me and it was the right time.”
